BB member, Matthew McNaught (17) said:
“This money will be useful for 1st Lenzie as it will enable the company to purchase the many routes for Bronze, Silver & Gold stages of DofE, which will not only save us (boys) money, but will save the officers the time trying to raise the money for it. It will also take some pressure away from the company’s parent association, who are a great help in paying for a lot of our activities, like the trip to Ardeonaig in September!
Callum Dewar, Secretary of the 1st Lenzie Company, Boys’ Brigade said:
“The BB in Lenzie usually raises its own funds thanks to the dedication of all Staff, Parents and Boys through Bagpacking, Gala Days and Collections. However, we are very thankful that the Co-op have chosen us to support financially through their Local Community Fund. The money raised by Co-op members in the local area will help the Staff run more activities for the over 55 young people of the BB in Lenzie.”
